Our swimming pool is open during summer and we have a playground for your enjoyment.

- head to the camp store Boutique for some retail therapy or
- try your fishing skills catching some catfish in our pond.
- ping pong, badminton, foot pool, corn hole, horse shoes, and games in our club house

Bring your fishing poles and show off your skills to catch the biggest combined fish length. We have lots of fun catchin' lots of fish.
Come be the 2023 Fishing Tournament Champion.
The pond is stocked with:
- Bass
- 2 Types of Brim
- Catfish
Many kids catch their first fish at this event.

Mother's Day Fun Weekend

Every day is Mother's Day - we can't do life without them.
Here, we honor them with crafts and some old-time fun.
Come and stay and enjoy peaceful Fancy Gap in a tent, RV, or one of our cabins.

Smoke on the Mountain BBQ Championship

Thousands of people go hog wild for a taste of authentic barbecue and a chance to see a professional cooking competition up close at Smoke on the Mountain each year in Galax, VA. This competition, held every third weekend in July, is Virginia's official state barbecue championship.The streets of downtown Galax are packed with people and the air is filled with fragrant clouds of hickory smoke and the tangy bite of vinegar with mustard, mingling with sweetness of tomato and the mouth-watering sizzle of slow cooked pork. Smoke on the Mountain promises all that, plus live music, crafters, vendors, children's activities and other attractions on several blocks of historic downtown Galax.

Memorial Day Festivities! Let the summer begin!

The Marshall Bros will be singing on Saturday night and lots more, and, of course, the pool will be open.
Friday Night is
"Finger Lickin' Friday's".
- Our pit masters will show off their skills as we enjoy BBQ plates, with your choice of home-made slaw or baked beans.
Saturday is Ice Scream Social "Sundaes on Saturday". This event will benefit KOA Care Camps, sending kids with cancer to camp.

5th Annual Santa Visit

When Santa heads to the north pole for his big day, he stops for his annual reservation in cabin #5.
He loves to visit with all his friends at Fancy Gap KOA.
We have breakfast, he reads to us, and he helps us with a craft.

Water War Hay Rides on Fancy Gap Mountain

Meet us on Saturdays with your favorite water gun to take a tour around our little mountain.
- Riders don't know that we want all of the campers to break out their water hoses to soak them
We gather at the wagon, weather dependent.Check with the Fancy Ladies in the Camp Store or the Fancy Gentlemen on the golf carts for times.
