Ashland / Huntington West KOA Holiday

Our RV park is located just 3 minutes off I-64 at exit 179 with easy on/off access and Big-Rig friendly sites! Open all year.

The campground is conveniently located close to I-64 near Ashland, KY and West of Huntington, WV with multiple options of nearby restaurants, local festivals, events and historical sites. Take a few days to explore the many attractions of nearby Country Music Highway or enjoy simple country drives to the many local historical sites in the area.

Coming to work locally in Ashland, Catlettsburg, Greenup, Grayson, Ironton, or Huntington? Contractors will find our location central and very convenient to major employers, such as Marathon, or the many hospitals in the area. Plenty of extended stay sites are available for the whole crew.

RV sites at our campground are all full hook-up, slide-out friendly, and spaciously set. Big-Rig pull thrus are often available without interfering trees, making satellite service very accessible. Heat and Air-conditioned camping cabins and cottages with private, full bathrooms and cable TV offer a chance to kick back and relax in a comfortable yet rustic atmosphere. Try a cabin with a deluxe patio on your next visit. Some cabins have kitchens as well.

The campground is on the Tri state border. Stay a week or more and experience Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia from one base camp. Our GREAT staff can guide you on a different day trip each day—kayak one of the many lakes in our area or fish on-site in our stocked fishing pond.

Explore carter Caves or join other ATV riders at Rush Off. Return to marvel at the beautiful sunsets from your RV or cabin, participate in one of the evening activities, or simply enjoy a crackling campfire into the night. The newly opened Casino is 15 minutes away.

Other amenities include a 24-hour laundry, and bathroom,  campground store, Kentucky Appalachian region crafts, and two large covered picnic pavilions. We have a children's playgrounds, miniature golf, large swimming pool, fishing pond, large jumping pad, and hiking areas are that will keep the whole family entertained.

Theme Weekends (in season) include bonfires, crafts, corn hole toss competitions, special event breakfasts, ice cream socials and more. Be sure to review the Events tab for details.
