As Canada Day falls midweek in 2026, the official Canada Day Long Weekend will be celebrated from Thursday, July 2nd, to Sunday, July 5th.
We will offer additional holiday activities on Wednesday, July 1st, to mark Canada Day itself; however, the main events and festivities will take place from Thursday through Saturday.

The Cardinal / Ottawa South KOA is family camping at its best. Located just an hour from Ottawa and close to the 1000 Islands region, this is the ultimate destination for eastern Ontario camping. Spend your weekends or entire vacations on our campground and enjoy a wide variety of amenities, including our splash pad, pool, pirate ship playground, Big Bouncer and mini putt. The kids will enjoy our themed weekend activities, or take the family on a day trip to explore Ottawa or the St. Lawrence river area. We offer themed activities each weekend, as well as activities during the week in July and August.
Our sites range from big-rig friendly 50 amp patio sites to large treed 30 amp back in sites, and our convenient deluxe cabins and lodges. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, water source, and electricity.
Get away from the noise of the highway and bustle of the city in our beautiful, quiet, rural location. Nightly quiet hours between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM provide a secure and relaxing experience for our guests.
NOTE: WE DO NOT HAVE SEWERS ON OUR SITES. WE HAVE A DUMPING STATION OR THE HONEY WAGON CAN COME TO YOUR SITE TO PUMP OUT YOUR RV FOR A FEE OF $20.00 PER DUMP. THE HONEY WAGON IS NOT AVAILABLE DURING MEAL TIMES OR ON SUNDAY MORNINGS WHEN WE USE IT FOR DEPARTING GUESTS.

Saturday June 20th:
All Day Scavenger Hunt - Stop by the front office and ask for a scavenger sheet. Then tour the campground looking for the items. Check back in once you're done for a fun prize!
10:30am Bingo - Join us under the party tent for a classic game of Bingo! Bingo cards will be given out at the party tent before the game begins. Make sure to shout BINGO for a chance to win a fun prize!
12:00pm Hayride - Join us behind the main office for a fun hayride around the around the campground! Fun for all ages!
1:00pm Kids vs Dads Game - Join us at the back field for a fun (and competitive) kids vs Dads game!
2:30pm Ice Cream Social - Location moved to Fireside Pizza. $5.00/bowl proceeds to KOA Care Camps to send kids with cancer to camp. Please stand behind the line when ordering. Pay with cash, credit, or debit. Ice cream is only available until the last person in line is served.
4:00pm Make Your Own Comic Strip - Join us under the party tent to make your very own super hero themed comic strip. Fun for all ages and abilities!
Food Services:
Taco / Nacho Bar - Friday 5-7pm (located at Fireside Pizza) New
Fireside Pizza - Saturday 5:15-7pm (pizza must be pre-ordered in store by 3pm on Saturday)
Firewood will be sold in the main office and delivered to site.
Go karts are available to rent all day Mon-Thurs, Friday morning, all day Saturday, and Sunday afternoon. Please come to the main office to rent.
VR Room is open Saturday 2-3pm and 6-7pm. Please come to the main office to purchase tickets
Pool Hours: 10am-dusk
Store Hours: Monday-Thursday: 10am-6pm; Friday: 10am-9pm; Saturday: 8am-8pm; Sunday: 9am-5pm

Regular site reservations require: 1 days reservation, One night deposit, $20.00 to cancel with 48 hours or more notice, you will lose your deposit if you cancel within 48 hours of the arrival date;
Site reservations for long weekends require: 3 days reservation, One night deposit, $25.00 to cancel with 7 days or more notice, you will lose your deposit if you cancel within 7 days of the arrival date;
Regular Kabin reservations require: 2 days reservation, One night deposit, $25.00 to cancel with 7 days or more notice, you will lose your deposit if you cancel within 7 days of the arrival date;
Kabin reservations for long weekends require: 3 days reservation, One night deposit, $50.00 to cancel with 14 days or more notice; you will lose your deposit if you cancel within 14 days of the arrival date;
Regular Lodge reservations require: 2 days reservation, One night deposit, $50.00 to cancel with 14 days or more notice; you will lose your deposit if you cancel within 14 days of the arrival date;
Lodge reservations for long weekends require: 3 days reservation One night deposit, $100 to cancel with 21 days or more notice; you will lose your deposit if you cancel within 21 days of the arrival date;
Notice: No shows on day of arrival will have to pay the full amount of the stay. No refund for early departure.
