Blackberry Festival

Anacortes Arts Festival

The Anacortes Arts Festival is in its 64th year, hosting more than 220 booth artisans, producing a highly acclaimed fine art show, and averaging around 80,000 visitors during the first weekend in August. Anacortes is located on breathtaking Fidalgo Island at the front of the San Juan Islands, in Northwest Washington. Our exciting Festival is a free event to the public and includes two stages of free entertainment daily, a beer gardens, a wine bar and a youth area which is dedicated space for kids and family activities.

Skagit Valley Highland Games

The Skagit Valley Highland Games is part of an annual circuit of Scottish competitions held in the Pacific Northwest and Lower Mainland of British Columbia. As such, the quality of performers in solo bagpiping and drumming competitions, bagpipe bands, fiddling, traditional Scottish athletics (the “heavy” events) and Scottish Highland dancing is at an extremely high level.The weekend features fun for all ages with children's activities, sheepdog herding demonstrations, beer and whisky gardens, and more.

Cascade Days

The Concrete Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce this year's event will once again be held on the third weekend in August. Community members, business owners, and town leaders are excited about this popular summertime event. The tradition of Cascade Days goes all the way back to the 1930s. It grew from a campaign to build a highway connecting Skagit County to Okanogan County — formerly referred to as the North Cross State Highway, these days called North Cascades Pass or simply State Route 20. The earliest meetings to build and promote the road were coordinated by dedicated local leaders and prominent state and national figures — those meetings eventually turned into a celebration with a parade. Viola! “Cascade Days” began! (We do love a parade in Concrete.)

Concrete Fly-in 2025

The Concrete Old Fashioned Fly-In is a popular event for vintage, classic, and antique airplane enthusiasts and their families and friends. Founded in 1982, this annual event takes place among some of the most outstanding scenery in the Pacific Northwest. The Mears Field Airport is nestled in the foothills of the North Cascade mountain range in Washington state.
