Our campground is ideally located just 1.5 miles outside town in a peaceful country setting — close enough to enjoy all the local attractions, yet far enough to unwind in nature's tranquility.
Outdoor Adventures Await!
From rafting the North Platte River to hiking scenic mountain trails, fishing in crystal-clear streams, or boating at nearby Glendo Reservoir, adventure is never far away. Wildlife lovers are in for a treat — Converse County boasts the nation's largest population of pronghorn antelope, along with whitetail and mule deer, elk, and bighorn sheep. You can even spot rabbits and antelope right from the campground... and perhaps catch a glimpse of the mythical Jackalope! (Note: No hunting is permitted on campground grounds.) For a day of exploration, enjoy a picnic at the Ayres Natural Bridge or challenge yourself with a climb up Laramie Peak — the views are worth every step!

History buffs will find themselves surrounded by the rich heritage of the American West. The Oregon, Mormon, and Bozeman Trails all passed through this region. Discover history firsthand at Register Cliff near Guernsey State Park, visit an authentic Oregon Trail grave near Glenrock, and wander through the fascinating exhibits at the Pioneer Museum in Douglas. Fort Fetterman lies just 15 minutes away, while Fort Laramie is a scenic one-hour drive. Policies

We follow the KOA cancellation policy. We charge a $20 cancellation fee for RV and tent sites when cancelled 7 days before your arrival date. Within the 7 days you will lose your whole deposit. If you are staying in a cabin $20 cancellation fee policy is cancelling more then 14 days before your arrival date. If you cancel within 14 days of your arrival you will forfeit your whole deposit.
