Enjoy locally made Tamales. Stop by early, limited supply available. Truck will be set up in the Lazy River Parking area at 11am.

Craft Show: 12/10, 12/19, 1/16, 1/21, 2/4, 2/23, 3/6, 3/11
Shop our Craft Show to find unique items from local crafters from 11am - 2pm in the parking area near the Lazy River.

Sip and Paint: 12/3, 1/13, 2/17
Unleash your inner artist while enjoying a glass of your choice of beverage and socializing with friends from 3pm-5pm. No prior painting experience needed – our talented instructor will guide you step by step. Reservations required, sign up at the Camp Store.

Pottery Class: 12/9
Lazy River Pavilion at 2pm. Join us for a pottery class and test your artistic skills.  Sign up at the Camp Store, advanced registration required.

Wine and Cheese: 12/17, 1/14, 2/6, 2/18, 3/18
Sip, savor, and socialize at our Wine and Cheese Social on from 3 pm to 4 pm on the Upper Deck.

New Year's Eve Party

Celebrate the new year with us at the campground the best way we know how, with live music, party favors, snacks and a champagne toast! Start your New Year's Eve celebration at the Lazy River Pavilion with DJ Daddy-O spinning tunes to sing along and dance to on December 31 from 3:00pm - 6:00pm.

Annual Dickens on The Strand

Brush off your bowlers and prepare your petticoats as Galveston Historical Foundation presents the 50th annual Dickens on The Strand. Held the first weekend in December, the annual festival is a holiday tradition with great family programming, live entertainment, special Dickens on The Strand is Galveston's annual holiday street festival bursting with live entertainment on multiple streets, including strolling carolers, roving musicians, bagpipers, jugglers, and a crowd of entertainers and costumed revelers.

Holiday in the Gardens

Mardi Gras Galveston

Galveston Restaurant Week

Nearly 40 restaurants from across Galveston Island come together each year to celebrate Restaurant Week! Each participating restaurant will feature a discounted prix fixe menu with unique and exciting culinary creations. There's no need to purchase special tickets or passes. Simply visit their website for a full list of participating restaurants, then pick your favorite and enjoy an incredible meal at a great price.

Galveston FeatherFest 2025

Starts: 04/24/2025 - Ends: 04/27/2025

If you enjoy feathered friends, then the Galveston FeatherFest is the event for you! Thousands of brightly-colored birds take flight to our island every spring during their northward migration. They cross the Gulf from Central and South America, and one prime location to see them is the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail. FeatherFest is all about four days of birding and nature photography workshops, and adventurous field trips. In the evenings there are delightful social events. It is an opportunity to meet new people and enjoy nature!

Galveston Island Revue Weekend

Galveston's summertime celebration of the island's vintage past returns June 6-8, 2025! This year's event highlights numerous GHF properties for a weekend of classes, parties, contests, and more. Based on past island events from summer seasons, like the Pageant of Pulchritude and Splash Day, the Galveston Island Revue Weekend was resurrected into a contemporary event in 2009. Each year, contestants from around the United States vie for prizes, sashes, and more while the assembled crowds enjoy a weekend of retro fun.

Port of Galveston Bicentennial Celebration
