Fall into fun at the Flatlanders Fall Festival in Goodland, Kansas – an filled with festive activities, roaring engines, classic rides, and family-friendly entertainment that captures the essence of the season. The festival takes place in the heart of our downtown on Main Street and expands from 8th Street all the way down to 16th Street.
The Flatlander Fall Festival is a Topside of Kansas event based on community hospitality, hometown pride, and spirit which has become an annual event attracting thousands of people. The festival joins together different community groups, with multiple events, over a two-day period in Goodland, KS. The Flatlanders Fall Festival Committee coordinates this weekend to be a premier event in Northwest Kansas and the Tri-State Area. Goodland is located on I-70, just 17 miles from the Colorado border, and 50 miles from the Nebraska border. Participants and visitors come from all over to take part in the events and activities as the festival takes over downtown. We hope you will take the time to join us for this year's events!

Come and join us at the annual Northwest Kansas District Free Fair, to be held at the Sherman County Fairgrounds in Goodland, Kansas! The annual Northwest Kansas District Free Fair is held the first week in August. The fair attracts people from Kansas, Colorado, and Nebraska. Each year the fair offers many opportunities for commercial vendors, exhibitors and so much more.
Gate & Building Hours:
The grounds of the fair are open to the public free of charge and are generally open from 7:00 am MT to 11:00 pm MT. Buildings are generally open from 7:00 am MT to 10:00 pm MT depending on activities and events taking place.
Free Parking:
The Northwest Kansas District Free Fair offers free public parking! The public parking lots are located to the South and West of the fairgrounds. The entrance to the parking lot located to the south of the fairgrounds is on Caldwell Street. The entrance to the parking lot located to the west of the fairgrounds is on Main Street. Exhibitors may park in the lot located to the north of the Ag Building.
