Itasca State Park, located in Park Rapids, Minnesota, is home to the headwaters of the Mississippi River. Guests can visit the Mary Gibbs Mississippi Headwaters Center to learn more about the area, or head to Lake Itasca's excellent swimming beach with a nearby playground and volleyball court.
