As a tribute to the dairy industry and local dairy families, the festival acknowledges the success of Putnam County as a leading dairy county in Georgia.There is also a 5k that takes place during the Putnam County Dairy Festival!The festival engenders a feeling of good will and civic pride. Along with the festival, many other activities are planned which bring visitors and families back to the community such as class reunions, family gatherings, etc.
