Lava Hot Springs KOA West offers lodging and camping accommodations year round. If you plan to stay during the summer season, make your reservation 6 months ahead. This campground is centrally located to all the fun-filled activities, which makes it very popular. The footbridge located over the Portneuf River makes for a fast and easy access to the water park from any campsite. The World Famous Hot Springs are only 3 blocks away and open year round. With many new renovations still in the near future, we'd like to announce the new Pavilion is ready for private rental gatherings, or free to use with courtesy to all campers. It seats approximately 30-40 people. Our KOA provides new shower facilities, laundromat, playground, paw pen, gift shop/convenience store, fire pits, fishing and Wi-Fi.
Floating the natural Portneuf River is a highlight during the summer months, but also during the Fire & Ice Winter Festival, which remains the most attractive event, beginning the first weekend of every February.

Every 4th of July Lava Hot Springs presents a spectacular fireworks show from the top of the mountain above the city. The grand finale includes a fireworks waterfall over the cliff! Watch from anywhere in the downtown Lava area with a view of the North mountain. Sponsored by the Lava Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, City of Lava Hot Springs and Lava Hot Springs Foundation.

Spring Into Wellness with Lava! This is going to be a great gathering of wellness helpers and healers. Learn from our speakers on the healing properties of our water, how sound baths help our nervous systems, or experience a class in Trauma Recovery Yoga or Gyrokinesis.Diverse exhibitors, both eastern and western philosophy from Nutrition to therapy dogs, heart health and blood pressure checks to singing bowl sound baths and drum circles. Learn about herbology, take a wellness walk through town and fill your bag with free goodies from our local businesses, join the guided hike up L Mountain, enjoy a talk about and a spin around Lava's own labyrinth. Finish the day with a soak and stretch in the hot pools!
