Experience the 76th Annual Georgia Mountain Fair in Hiawassee, Georgia, from August 13–22, 2026. This beloved tradition celebrates Appalachian heritage with live music, daily concerts, arts and crafts vendors, delicious fair food, carnival rides, and exhibits showcasing mountain culture and history.
The carnival opens on Thursday, August 13, and operates daily through August 22. Fairgrounds attractions, entertainment, and performances at Anderson Music Hall are available August 14–16 and August 20–22. Please note that pets are not permitted inside the Fairgrounds gates.

Get creative at this fun community art event in Downtown Murphy! Participants of all ages are invited to paint a fall-themed scene on a designated section of a downtown store window, with registration and paint supplies available on the day of the event at Olive's Porch. Best artwork prizes will be awarded, and admission is free. Check in at the Downtown Stage located at the corner of Peachtree Street and Valley River Avenue.
