Visit Matanuska Glacier State Recreation Site, located in Palmer, Alaska. Although it doesn't offer access to the glacier itself, it features some of the best views around. Go river rafting, skiing, or snowshoeing. Hike around the park or go glacier trekking. Campsites are pet friendly and kid friendly. Reservations are not accepted, so arrive as early as possible!
