Plenty of historic attractions fill the Charleston area. For example, visit the historical movie location for "The Notebook" at Boone Hall Plantation on Long Point Road. You could also go on a carriage tour or horseback ride at Middleton Place and see America's oldest landscaped gardens. The Magnolia Plantation played a significant role in the Ashley River's history during the Revolutionary War and Civil War. You can picnic, canoe, bike and walk through the nature trails on Magnolia Plantation's 125-acre rice field. The pool opens on March 1 and closes on October 1. Operating hours are from 9 a.m. until 30 minutes before the store closes as long as weather permits.

Join the Rec Team for a family friendly, unforgettable evening at our own Mount Pleasant Koa Holiday. We bring in the New Year with food, dancing and fireworks. Countdown as "Larry' the inflatable pig drops in from the sky above and starts the new year. Don't forget to get your first picture of the year taken with "Larry" - a family tradition you need to start. Book early as we fill up quickly - see you there!

RV and tent sites: 48 hours prior to the arrival date, there is a $10 transaction fee with the balance of the deposit refunded. Cancellations within the 48 hour period will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
Cabins: Eight (8) days prior to the arrival date, there is a $10 transaction fee with the balance of the deposit refunded. Cancellations within the one week period will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
Beginning October 1st, KOA is implementing new cancellation guidelines for all new reservations. Reservations that are made prior to October 1st, will still be under the old cancellation guidelines as detailed above. The cancellation guidelines are based on when you make the reservation NOT the dates of your stay. If you have any questions about this, please contact the campground.
