Ober's Oktoberfest

About 20 minutes (9 miles) from camp, Ober Mountain is hosting its annual Oktoberfest celebration!From September 25 through November 1, 2026, experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of the world's most famous beer festival right in the heart of the Smokies. The resort will transform into Bavarian-style festival grounds complete with festive décor, live oompah bands on the outdoor sound stage, and traditional stein-holding competitions. Relax in the mountaintop biergarten to sip authentic German biers paired with classic favorites like chicken schnitzel, giant pretzels, sausages, and sweet seasonal treats.

Gatlinburg Craftsmen Fair

About 20 minutes from camp (9 miles), the Gatlinburg Craftsmen's Fair packs the Convention Center wall to wall with 200-plus booths of the real deal: handmade pottery, leather goods, copper art, one-of-a-kind pieces you won't find in a gift shop. This fall's show runs October 8 through 28, 2026, with live bluegrass, gospel, and country tunes on stage daily at noon and 3 p.m. Some families have turned this into a decades-long tradition, and one lap through the aisles explains why. Rain or shine, it's the kind of afternoon that quietly eats your whole day.

The Great Smoky Mountain Bronco Stampede is an event that is open to ALL Bronco enthusiasts and Bronco clubs throughout the nation. There will be an expo for Bronco parts and accessory vendors, and off-road-related products. During your visit, be sure to take advantage of several famous drives in our area, including the scenic Cade's Cove drive, stunning drives through Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or take a day trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway or Tail of the Dragon.The event will be held at the LeConte Center, which is approximately 1.5 miles from the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg KOA Holiday. More than 6 million lights blanket the park, Peppermint Valley replaces the Country Fair, and a towering tree anchors the nightly show. Duck into Christmas in the Smokies or another holiday production indoors when your fingers need a break from the cold. Named America's Best Christmas Event for over a decade running, so plan ahead: even the slower nights fill up.
